UTME Candidates
- JAMB Examination: Candidates must have taken the UTME and obtained a minimum score of 200.
- Choice of Institution: UNILAG must be selected as the first choice during the UTME registration.
- Post-UTME Screening: Eligible candidates are required to participate in the UNILAG Post-UTME screening exercise, which assesses aptitude and subject knowledge relevant to the chosen course.
Direct Entry Candidates
- Educational Qualifications: Candidates should possess one of the following: Advanced Level passes in relevant subjects, National Diploma (ND) with Upper Credit from a recognized institution, National Certificate of Education (NCE) with Merit in relevant subjects, and Other equivalent qualifications as specified by the department of interest.
- Choice of Institution: UNILAG must be chosen as the first choice in the Direct Entry JAMB application.
- O’Level Requirements: As stated above, five (5) credit passes in one sitting, including English Language and Mathematics, in relevant subjects.
General Requirements for All Candidates
- Age Requirement: Candidates must be at least 16 years old at the time of applying for admission
- O’Level Requirements: A minimum of five (5) credit passes at one sitting in relevant O’Level subjects, including English Language and Mathematics.
How to Apply for UNILAG Admission 2025/2026
- Go to the official UNILAG portal at admissions.unilag.edu.ng.
- Log in with your JAMB registration number and surname (in lowercase) as the password.
- Generate a payment advice slip from the portal.
- Pay the non-refundable screening fee (approximately ₦2,000) by choosing any of the payment options: Online payment using a debit/credit card. Bank payment at any of the approved banks (details will be on the slip).
- Ensure you receive a payment receipt for your records.
- Fill in the required details: Personal information, Academic qualifications (O’Level and, for DE, post-secondary qualifications), and Course of study.
- Upload your documents (scanned copies) as required.
- Review your application carefully to ensure all information is accurate.
- Submit your application after verifying the details.
- Print the following documents for your records: Application form, Payment receipt, and Screening acknowledgment slip.
Tips for Both UTME/DE Candidates
- UTME candidates should participate in the post-UTME screening test and keep track of the test date and venue, which will be communicated on the portal.
- DE candidates must attend the screening and credential verification exercise as instructed.
