Ali Baba Reveals the Story Behind His Passion for Comedy

Ali Baba, a famous Nigerian comedian, once shared a funny and interesting story about how he started loving comedy.

He said it all began when he was a student at Ekpoma University. One day, there was a big show on campus, but something unexpected happened.

The show had a strip tease dance, but the dancer got scared and ran away from the stage. This made the people watching very angry and upset.

Ali Baba’s friend, Percy, asked him to go on stage and calm everyone down.

Ali Baba said, “Back then, between 1986 and 1988, Congo music was very popular in Nigeria, and people loved the dancers that came with it. One day at our school, a dancer was supposed to do a strip tease, but when she was about to take off her clothes, she got scared and ran away because many people had never seen someone like that before. Some people even ran onto the stage.”

“So, the organisers asked me to help calm the crowd. I started telling jokes and making everyone laugh. That day, I felt very happy and comfortable on stage. It was then I knew I wanted to become a comedian.”
