Galatasaray Meet Osimhen’s €75M Price Tag — But Payment Hurdles Delay Napoli Deal

Galatasaray really want to sign Victor Osimhen for good after he helped them win the 2024/25 Turkish league title. The Nigerian striker scored 26 goals and gave 5 assists during his loan at the club — and now they want to make the move permanent.
The Turkish champions have agreed to pay €75 million (about ₦126 billion) to his club, Napoli, but there’s a big problem: Napoli want all the money at once — and with a bank guarantee! Galatasaray, on the other hand, want to pay bit by bit over time.
Napoli’s president, Aurelio De Laurentiis, is saying “no deal” unless they get the full payment upfront. So for now, the transfer is on hold.
Meanwhile, Osimhen wants to stay in Turkey. He’s not happy to return to Napoli, especially since their new manager, Antonio Conte, doesn’t want him in the team anymore. Conte prefers other strikers like Romelu Lukaku and is looking at Darwin Núñez from Liverpool.
But there’s a twist: Al-Hilal, a rich club from Saudi Arabia, is ready to pay the full €75 million right away, and they could steal the deal if Galatasaray don’t act fast.
Osimhen still has a contract with Napoli until 2026, and if he stays, he will earn €24 million next season — a huge amount that Napoli don’t want to pay for a player they’re not planning to use.
Galatasaray are offering him €16 million per year to join them for good.
Napoli’s pre-season training starts on July 15, but Osimhen is not excited about going back.
