Justice for Mohbad: Court Wants Nurse Prosecuted for Deadly Injection

A court in Ikorodu, Lagos, has said that the nurse who gave late singer Mohbad an injection should be taken to court for doing something wrong.

Her name is Feyisayo Ogedengbe, and the court said she gave Mohbad an injection without asking a doctor first. This is not allowed and is called gross negligence, which means she didn’t follow the right rules for treating someone.

The judge, Magistrate C.A. Shotobi, said on Friday, July 11, 2025, that the nurse broke the law and acted carelessly. But the court also said that Mohbad was not killed on purpose, so it’s not a murder case.

The judge told the Director of Public Prosecution to start a case against Nurse Feyisayo for doing medical work without a license and being careless.

Mohbad, whose real name was Ilerioluwa Aloba, died on September 12, 2023, when he was just 27 years old. His death made many people very angry, especially after hearing that he was treated by someone who wasn’t a proper nurse.

People were even more upset when an old video showed Mohbad being harassed during a video shoot by Sam Larry, who is friends with another singer, Naira Marley.

Another singer, Zlatan, was there too, but he didn’t say anything about it. Recently, a popular online critic called VeryDarkMan (VDM) posted an interview with Sam Larry, and that made people talk about the case again.

As more people asked questions, Zlatan said his mother told him not to get involved, so he kept quiet. But singer Portable didn’t like that and said Zlatan was just using his mother as an excuse.

What do you think? Should everyone who knows something speak up?
