Assault Case Update: Chris Brown Pleads Not Guilty

American singer Chris Brown says he is not guilty in a new court case about an assault.
The fight happened on February 19, 2023, in a nightclub in London called Tape. Chris Brown and another man named Omololu Akinlolu, also known as HoodyBaby, are accused of hurting a man with a bottle.
The man was hit with the bottle, chased, punched, and kicked during the fight.
In court on Friday, Chris Brown said he did not do anything wrong. He denied hurting the man and carrying a bottle as a weapon.
Chris Brown had also said earlier that he is not guilty of a more serious charge of trying to hurt someone badly on purpose. Omololu Akinlolu also said he is not guilty of the same charges.
The police arrested Chris Brown in Manchester in May 2025 when he arrived in the UK. He stayed in jail for a few days but was let out on bail after paying £5 million. He must go back to court or he will lose the bail money.
Even with the court case, Chris Brown is still allowed to continue his world tour, which started in Amsterdam on June 8.
The next court meeting will be on October 24.
