VDM Portable: Fighting Dirty with Songs and Rituals

The fight between controversial singer Portable (real name Habeeb Okikiola) and online activist VeryDarkMan (VDM)(real name Martins Otse) is getting hotter every day!
What started as a small online argument has now turned into a full-blown war—with diss songs, old secrets, and even rituals involved!
How the Fight Started
Portable got angry and posted a video where he called out VDM. He said VDM should stop blaming President Bola Tinubu for Nigeria’s problems. He also accused VDM of using the death of late singer Mohbad just to get more attention online.
Of course, VDM didn’t keep quiet. He fired back with a diss track titled “Ole” (which means “thief”). In the song, he talked about how Portable was once accused of stealing a tricycle and phones. He even mentioned how the police arrested him back then.
The Diss Songs Begin!
VDM didn’t stop at one song. He released another diss track and said he had recorded a whole seven-track EP just to finish Portable!
He also made a funny dance to go with the song and posted an old video where Portable was being beaten up by people for allegedly stealing.
Portable Fights Back
Portable didn’t take the insults lightly. He replied with his own song called “VDM Oromadiye”, where he insulted VDM’s background and even said bad things about VDM’s mum. He claimed he never stole anything and that the issue happened back in 2020—before he became famous.
He shouted in a video:
“Emefiele and Yahaya Bello stole money, but they weren’t beaten. Why call me a thief? Everyone steals—only the one caught is shamed!”
He also said VDM was attacking him because he supports President Tinubu. Portable even called on Seyi Tinubu, the EFCC, and the police to arrest VDM. He claimed he had written a petition against him.
VDM Drops Final Diss Track
VDM came again with what he called his final song, “Zazoo ft All My Gees.” He repeated that Portable is a thief, and also called him dirty and smelly. He bragged that his fans, known as “The Ratels,” rule social media like the “fourth arm of government.”
The music video showed street boys, okada riders, and keke drivers dancing to the beat with a special dance move.
Portable Goes Spiritual
But here’s the biggest twist—Portable didn’t reply with another song. This time, he was seen in a ritual video, holding a horn wrapped in red cloth, praying and making curses.
He said:
“Let my fans be blessed, but anyone who calls me a thief will go mad and suffer!”
He also gave offerings like a live chicken, kola nuts, and gin.
Fans Are Watching and Laughing
Even though both men say they’re angry, fans online are enjoying the drama! From the songs to the insults to the rituals, it’s like a full movie playing out online.
Will they stop? We don’t know yet. But one thing is clear—Portable and VDM are giving Nigerians plenty to gist about!
