Antonio Shines with Brace in Emotional Comeback After Near-Fatal Accident

Michail Antonio is back — and better than ever! The 34-year-old striker made a strong return by scoring two goals for West Ham United’s U21 team in a 2-1 win over Boreham Wood.

This was Antonio’s first club match since he was involved in a serious car crash last December. He didn’t waste any time — scoring his first goal just four minutes into the game by stealing the ball from a defender. His second goal came a few minutes later, this time with a powerful header.

All of Antonio’s teammates came over to cheer him after he scored. The U21 coach, Mark Robson, said it was “fantastic” for the younger players to play with someone as experienced as Antonio.

Earlier this summer, Antonio played a little for Jamaica in the Gold Cup. But this match marks his real comeback on the club side.

Right now, Antonio doesn’t have a contract with West Ham, as his old deal ended on June 30. Still, fans are hoping the club brings him back. Some even say West Ham should sign him again instead of looking at other free agents like Callum Wilson.

What a way to return, Antonio!
