The final list of players who are in the running for the 2025 Ballon d’Or has just been released! The big award ceremony will take place on Monday, September 22, in Paris, where the best football player in the world will be crowned.
This list has 30 amazing footballers who played really well during the 2024–25 season. The judges looked at their performances in top leagues and big competitions like the Club World Cup and the Champions League.
Leading the pack is Ousmane Dembele, the Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) star, who had a fantastic season. He helped PSG win a historic treble—including their first-ever Champions League trophy!
But Dembele is not the only PSG player on the list. His teammates Vitinha and Achraf Hakimi also made the cut after strong seasons.
Young star Lamine Yamal from Barcelona made the list too! He had a breakout year and impressed many with his talent. Other big names include Mohamed Salah from Liverpool and Raphinha from Barcelona, who were both key players in their teams’ title wins.
