“Isak Ready to Quit Newcastle — Liverpool Move or Not”

Alexander Isak has told Newcastle United he will not play for them again — even if his dream move to Liverpool doesn’t happen.
The Swedish striker has skipped all of pre-season training, showing he’s serious about leaving. Reports say Isak got upset last summer when Newcastle stopped talks about a new contract, and he took that as a sign to find a new club.
Isak’s contract runs until 2028, but people close to him say he already told coach Eddie Howe — twice — that he’s done at the club. He first said it before last season ended, and then repeated it after the last match against Everton.
Liverpool have already tried to sign him with a huge £110 million offer earlier this month, but Newcastle said no. The Magpies want closer to £150 million before they let him go, and only if they find a good replacement.
