“Ten-Man Advantage: Barca Cruise Past Mallorca 3-0 in Title Defence Opener”

Barcelona began their La Liga title defence with a big 3-0 win against Mallorca in a dramatic match at the Estadi de Son Moix.
Raphinha gave Barca the lead after only seven minutes, heading in a cross from young star Lamine Yamal.
Ferran Torres made it 2-0 in the first half after Mallorca’s players stopped, thinking play would be stopped for an injured teammate. The referee allowed the game to continue, and Torres scored.
Things got worse for Mallorca when Manu Morlanes was shown two yellow cards and sent off. Soon after, Vedat Muriqi also received a red card after VAR checked his high boot on Eric Garcia. That left Mallorca with only nine players before halftime.
Barcelona pushed for more goals in the second half, with Dani Olmo and Raphinha coming close. Finally, Yamal scored in added time with a lovely curling shot to seal the 3-0 victory.
Marcus Rashford, who just completed his La Liga registration, came on in the second half for his Barca debut but did not have much impact.
