Paris Saint-Germain women’s team have signed Nigeria’s Super Falcons captain, Rasheedat Ajibade, on a free transfer after she left Atletico Madrid.
Ajibade, who is 25 years old, spent five years playing in Spain with Atletico. During that time, she won the Supercopa de Espana and the Copa de la Reina trophies.
She is now the second Nigerian player at PSG, joining her national teammate Jennifer Echegini, who also plays in midfield for the club.
Before her time in Spain, Ajibade started her professional career in Norway with Avaldsnes IL, scoring 12 goals in 39 matches.
On the international stage, Ajibade has been a big star for Nigeria. She helped the Super Falcons win the 2024 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) and was even named the Player of the Tournament.
