Liverpool’s Unbeaten Streak Shattered in 2-1 Defeat to Crystal Palace

Liverpool’s 17-game unbeaten run ended after a 2-1 defeat to Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park. The game had late drama, with Palace snatching the win and giving Liverpool their first loss of the season.

Crystal Palace started fast. A mistake from Ryan Gravenberch during a corner allowed Ismaila Sarr to score from close range. After that, Liverpool goalkeeper Alisson made many great saves to stop Palace from scoring more before halftime.

In the second half, Alisson kept blocking Palace’s shots, including a big one from Mateta. Liverpool later got chances, but Florian Wirtz missed a good opportunity.

 

Late Drama at Selhurst Park

Federico Chiesa came off the bench and scored to make it 1-1, and it looked like Liverpool might escape with a draw. But Eddie Nketiah struck late from a long throw to win it for Palace.

Crystal Palace are now the only unbeaten team in the Premier League, while Liverpool’s title chase takes a hit.
