The 98th Academy Awards took place on Sunday night in Los Angeles, United States. Many movies and actors were honored for their great work in film.
The biggest winner of the night was One Battle After Another, directed by Paul Thomas Anderson. The movie won the award for Best Picture. It also won Best Director for Paul Thomas Anderson, Best Adapted Screenplay, and Best Film Editing.
Another movie that did very well was Sinners, directed by Ryan Coogler. The film had the most nominations with 16. It won several awards, including Best Actor for Michael B. Jordan, Best Original Screenplay, and Best Cinematography.
Jessie Buckley won Best Actress for her role in Hamnet. Sean Penn also won Best Supporting Actor for his role in One Battle After Another. Amy Madigan won Best Supporting Actress for the movie Weapons.
