The Benin Traditional Council has punished some people after a popular social media influencer, Habeeb Hamzat Adelaja, also known as Peller, entered the Oba of Benin’s palace without permission.

According to Gistmilinaija, the council said the visit broke palace rules and disturbed the peace of the palace.

They explained that Peller and his team did not follow the proper steps before entering, which caused trouble and embarrassment inside the palace.

After looking into the matter, the council suspended a palace chief who was involved. A staff member, Mr. Omuemu, was also arrested for helping them enter without approval.

The queen involved is still being investigated and could lose her position.

The council has asked Peller to come forward for questioning and to write an apology letter to the palace. If he refuses, he may face legal action.

New rules have now been added for anyone who wants to visit the palace. Visitors must apply in writing, get approval before coming, avoid hanging around, and carry official passes.

The council warned that anyone who enters the palace without permission in the future will be arrested and punished according to traditional laws.

They also said it is very important to protect the culture and traditions of the Benin Palace.

Peller is currently traveling across different states in Nigeria.
