In an interview with YouTuber Korty EO, Asake explained that his father did not support his choice to do music. Even though his father said no, Asake still chose to leave home so he could chase his dream.
In his words, he said, “My dad and I were very close when I was young. But when I wanted to leave home to do music, my father said no. I still left.”
