Barcelona got a strong 4-1 win over RCD Espanyol to keep their lead at the top of La Liga ahead of Real Madrid. With this result, Barcelona now have 79 points and are nine points clear in the title race as the season gets closer to the end.
Torres scores two early goals
Barcelona started the match very well. Ferran Torres scored the first goal in the 9th minute with a header from a corner kick taken by Lamine Yamal. He scored again in the 25th minute after another good move involving Yamal. These were his first goals since January, showing he is back in good form.

Espanyol tried to fight back and stayed in the game. Their goalkeeper Marko Dmitrović made some good saves to stop Barcelona from scoring more before half-time.
Late goal seal the win
Espanyol scored their only goal in the 56th minute through Paul Lozano, which gave them some hope.
But Barcelona finished strong. Lamine Yamal scored the third goal in the 87th minute after a smart run and calm finish. Just two minutes later, Marcus Rashford scored the fourth goal after a nice assist from Frenkie de Jong.
The win gives Barcelona more confidence as they prepare for their next big game against Atlético Madrid in the Champions League. Espanyol, on the other hand, stay in mid-table with 38 points.
