Popular comedian and content creator Sydney Talker has revealed that he is about to mark four years of celibacy, explaining that he deliberately stayed away from relationships to focus on building his career.

In a video shared on his Instagram page, the skit maker disclosed that July 27 will officially make it four years since he last shared a bed with a woman, describing the journey as challenging but worthwhile.

“27th of this month will make it four years of celibacy for me. Technically, what I am trying to say is I have not slept on the same bed with a woman for the past four years.

It’s not been easy, but I thank God. In these past four years, I have studied my industry. I took out time, stayed away from emotional activities and found solutions that would really help us as content creators,” he said.

Sydney admitted that remaining celibate was far from easy, but said the sacrifice gave him the discipline and focus he needed to invest in himself and better understand his craft.

According to the comedian, stepping away from emotional distractions allowed him to study the content creation industry more deeply and come up with ideas and solutions that could benefit both himself and other content creators.

His revelation has since generated mixed reactions online, with some social media users applauding his discipline, while others questioned whether his celibacy was truly for career growth or for another purpose.
