Nollywood actor Kunle Remi has spoken out about the rising cost of fuel in Nigeria and how it is affecting people’s lives.

In a video he shared on Instagram on Wednesday, the actor said he is feeling very stressed because of how expensive petrol has become and the constant lack of electricity.

Kunle Remi said that before now, he used to avoid talking about politics. But he now believes that staying silent is not right, especially with everything happening in the country.

According to him, Nigerians need to speak up, ask questions, and try to find solutions. He said this is not the time for anyone to stay quiet or ignore what is going on.

The actor also explained that he now has a child, so he is not just thinking about himself, but also about his family’s future.

Talking about his daily struggles, he revealed that he recently spent over one million naira just to buy petrol. He said there is no steady electricity, so he has to run his generator almost all the time.

He added that even though he lives on the Island, things are still very difficult, and there is no special treatment for anyone.

Kunle Remi also said he feels sorry for business owners because many of them depend on petrol or diesel to run their shops. With fuel prices going up, it has become harder for them to survive.

He further explained that some of his workers are finding it hard to come to work because transport costs are now too high. According to him, their salaries can no longer cover their daily expenses.

The actor said all these problems are making him feel mentally stressed.

He also questioned why Nigeria, a country that produces oil, is still suffering from high fuel prices. He wondered why the country is being affected so quickly by issues happening in other parts of the world, like the situation in Iran.

Kunle Remi said Nigeria is a blessed country with many resources, but it is still struggling because its refineries are not working properly.

His comments come shortly after another actor, Wale Akorede, also complained about the high cost of fuel in the country.
