Al-Hilal Land Darwin Núñez in Stunning Transfer Coup

Liverpool have said goodbye to striker Darwin Núñez, who is moving to Saudi Arabian club Al-Hilal. This ends his three years at Anfield.
The 26-year-old joined Liverpool from Benfica in 2023 for £64 million. He scored 25 goals in 95 Premier League games but sometimes struggled to keep up with expectations.
Last season, under new coach Arne Slot, Núñez had fewer chances to start games — only 8 league starts, even though he played in 30 matches.
Now, he has signed a permanent deal with Al-Hilal, and will join their pre-season training in Germany once all the paperwork is done.
Liverpool thanked Núñez and wished him and his family the best.
Al-Hilal celebrated his career so far, mentioning his Premier League and EFL Cup wins with Liverpool, his time as a top goal scorer at Benfica, and his early success in Uruguay with Peñarol.
