Al-Nassr Ready to Snatch João Félix in Last-Minute Swoop

Cristiano Ronaldo may soon get the help he wants at Al-Nassr, as the Saudi club is close to signing Portuguese star Joao Felix.

Reports say Al-Nassr is now leading the race to sign Felix, even though he was expected to return to his old club, Benfica.

Football expert Fabrizio Romano says Al-Nassr is talking with Chelsea to agree on a deal. They are hopeful everything could be sorted within one or two days. The club is also speaking with Felix’s agents to make the move happen quickly.

Before now, Benfica wanted to bring Felix back home. Their president, Rui Costa, and famous agent Jorge Mendes were working hard on the deal. They even hoped to sign him before their big game against Jose Mourinho’s Fenerbahce.

But Al-Nassr came in with a late offer and changed everything. Chelsea want €54 million for Felix — the same amount they paid Atletico Madrid after his time at Stamford Bridge didn’t go so well. He also had a short loan at AC Milan.

Al-Nassr is trying to finish the deal fast so Felix can join Ronaldo and the rest of the team in time for their friendly match against Toulouse on Wednesday in Austria.
