Spanish club Atletico Madrid have made a big move to sign Ademola Lookman, the Nigerian winger who plays for Atalanta in Italy.
According to reports from Corriere dello Sport, Atletico are offering €30 million and Brazilian winger Samuel Lino in exchange for Lookman. This is called a player-plus-cash deal.
Lookman, who is 26 years old, has been one of the best players in Italy in the last two seasons. He scored and assisted over 25 goals during that time. Because of his great performance, Atletico Madrid coach Diego Simeone really wants him for the 2025/26 season.
Even though Lookman has already agreed to join Inter Milan, that move hasn’t happened yet. Inter and Atalanta can’t agree on the transfer fee. Atalanta want €50 million, but Inter don’t want to pay that much.
Now, Atletico Madrid are trying to take advantage of the delay by offering money and Samuel Lino, who is no longer needed at the club after they signed Alex Baena.
