Axel Tuanzebe Sues Manchester United, Cites Medical Negligence in Injury Woes

Former Manchester United player Axel Tuanzebe is taking his old club to court. He says they gave him bad medical advice that affected his football career.

According to The Telegraph, the 27-year-old defender, who now plays for the DR Congo national team, believes Manchester United’s medical team made mistakes that led to him getting injured over and over again.

Tuanzebe says those injuries stopped him from reaching his full potential—not only at Manchester United, but also during loan spells at Aston Villa, Napoli, and Stoke City.

Tuanzebe grew up at Manchester United, joining their academy when he was just 8 years old. He became a youth team captain and made his first-team debut in 2017. Many people thought he would be a star for the club, but injuries kept getting in the way.

He played 37 matches for Manchester United before leaving the club in 2023.

So far, his lawyers haven’t shared details about what exactly the club did wrong. But this case is part of a bigger issue, as more footballers are starting to sue clubs for medical mistakes they say ruined their careers.
