Popular Nigerian comedian and filmmaker, Ayo Makun, also known as AY, has shared a very touching video to thank God, two years after a fire destroyed his beautiful home in Lekki.
On Wednesday, AY posted a video on his Instagram page. The video showed what his house looked like after the fire and how it looks now after rebuilding. The new house is big and beautiful, with shiny marble floors, a grand staircase, and a mix of modern and African-style decoration.
In the video, AY spoke about how hard it was for him. He said,
“Two years ago, everything I had was gone in the fire — my house, my peace, and my comfort. That was just the beginning. I went through lies, betrayal, and tough times. But I’m still here. Not because I’m lucky, but because God is faithful. Even when people talk behind my back, I keep moving forward. Every bad thing that happened was preparing me for something better. Thank you, God, for giving me beauty after ashes.”
It’s good to remember that AY’s Lekki mansion was destroyed by fire two years ago. He and his family had to leave their home and stay somewhere else for a while. Many fans, friends, and people in the entertainment world showed him love and support during that time.
Now that his house is fully rebuilt, lots of people are celebrating with him and sending him sweet messages online.
