Benjamin Sesko Snubs Newcastle, Chooses Manchester United

RB Leipzig striker Benjamin Sesko has decided to join Manchester United, even though Newcastle United also wanted him and had their £74 million bid accepted.
According to The Athletic, both clubs made offers that were close in value. Manchester United offered £65 million plus another £9 million in possible add-ons. Newcastle’s deal was £72 million with an extra £2 million in fees.
But in the end, Sesko made it clear — he wants to play for the Red Devils.
Talks between Manchester United and RB Leipzig are still going on, but it looks like United are now in a strong position to win the race for the young Slovenian striker.
If this move goes through, it would be another big step in United’s plan to rebuild their attack this summer.
The club has already signed Matheus Cunha from Wolves for £62.5 million and Bryan Mbeumo from Brentford for £71 million.
Reports also say that manager Ruben Amorim is ready to sell Rasmus Hojlund for £30 million to make space for Sesko in the squad.
Meanwhile, Newcastle had really hoped to get Sesko to strengthen their attack. Their top striker, Alexander Isak, is looking to leave, and Liverpool already failed with a £110 million offer for him. Newcastle also let Callum Wilson leave the club at the end of last season.
