Boniface Keeps His Cool Despite Collapsed AC Milan Move

Super Eagles striker Victor Boniface has spoken up after his big move to AC Milan fell apart over the weekend. The 24-year-old said he is still confident in his talent and will not give up.

Boniface was very close to joining the Italian club, and reports even said they were already talking about which shirt number he would wear. But Milan later changed their mind because of his past injury problems, especially the two times he had serious knee injuries (ACL) earlier in his career.

The news made many Nigerian fans react, with some even blaming him for his lifestyle off the pitch.

At first, Boniface got angry and attacked his critics on social media. His post was shared by famous transfer journalist Fabrizio Romano, who thought Boniface was talking to both Milan and his current club, Bayer Leverkusen. But Boniface quickly asked him to delete it, and Romano did.

Later, Boniface calmed down and used Snapchat to tell fans not to worry. He promised that this failed transfer will not stop his career, saying he still believes in himself and will come back stronger.

Now that the Milan chance is gone, Boniface and his team will start looking for new opportunities. Reports also say his coach at Bayer Leverkusen, Erik ten Hag, does not see him as part of the club’s long-term plans, meaning a transfer to another club could happen soon.
