Chelsea Hit Milan for Four as Delap, Joao Pedro Star in Pre-Season Rout

Chelsea ended their pre-season in style with a big 4-1 win over AC Milan at Stamford Bridge, lifting the VisitMalta Weekender trophy.

The Blues scored early when Milan’s Andrei Coubis accidentally put the ball into his own net after just five minutes.

Not long after, Joao Pedro made it 2-0, keeping up his great form since joining the club. The Brazilian has now scored five goals in just five games.

Things got even worse for Coubis when he was shown a red card in the 18th minute for stopping Pedro from a clear goal chance.

In the second half, Liam Delap scored from the penalty spot to make it 3-0. Milan’s Youssouf Fofana pulled one back, but Delap struck again in stoppage time to seal the win.

It was a perfect finish for Enzo Maresca’s team before they kick off the new season against Crystal Palace on Sunday.
