Dembélé Stuns Yamal to Claim 2025 Ballon d’Or Crown

Ousmane Dembélé has been named the winner of the 2025 Ballon d’Or, the biggest award in world football. The French star had an amazing season, helping Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) win a historic treble – the Ligue 1, Coupe de France, and the Champions League.
Dembélé beat Barcelona’s teenage wonder Lamine Yamal and his PSG teammate Vitinha to take home the Golden Ball at the ceremony in Paris.
Dembélé’s Big Season
The 28-year-old winger was one of PSG’s key players last season. His speed, skills, and creativity made a huge difference in their success. After years of injury struggles, he is now finally being celebrated as one of the best players in the world.
Yamal Makes His Own History
Even though Yamal missed out on the Ballon d’Or, the 18-year-old Barcelona star still made history by winning the Kopa Trophy for the best young player in the world. He became the first footballer ever to win it two years in a row, proving he is one of the brightest young talents.
Other Winners on the Night
Viktor Gyökeres won the Gerd Müller Trophy for being Europe’s top scorer.
Luis Enrique, PSG’s manager, was crowned Best Men’s Manager for leading the team to the treble.
Former PSG goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma received the Best Goalkeeper Award.
PSG was also named Best Team in Europe 2025.
A Frenchman on Top Again
Dembélé is the first French player since Karim Benzema in 2022 to win the Ballon d’Or. From tough times with injuries to now being the best player in the world, this is the biggest moment of his career.
What a night for PSG, France, and Ousmane Dembélé!
