Done Deal: Luka Modrić Signs for AC Milan on a Free Transfer

AC Milan have confirmed the signing of football legend Luka Modrić on a one-year contract, with the option to stay until June 2027.
The Croatian star joined for free after spending 13 amazing years with Real Madrid, where he won lots of big trophies.
Modrić, who will turn 40 in September, passed his medical tests on Monday morning before signing his contract at Milan’s main office.
He will wear the Number 14 jersey at the San Siro stadium.
Modrić is one of the most experienced midfielders in the world. During his time at Real Madrid, he won:

5 UEFA Super Cups
2 Copa del Rey trophies
5 Spanish Super Cups
He also played 597 matches for Real Madrid and has 188 caps for the Croatian national team.
AC Milan will be just the fourth club in his long career, after Dinamo Zagreb, Tottenham Hotspur, and Real Madrid.
Modrić has always loved AC Milan. He was inspired by another Croatian football great, Zvonimir Boban, who also played for the club.
