Dwarfism Group Plans Lawsuit Over Lamine Yamal’s 18th Birthday Bash

Young Barcelona football star Lamine Yamal is in hot water after his recent 18th birthday party. A group called the Association of Achondroplasia and Other Skeletal Dysplasias with Dwarfism (ADEE) says they are planning to take him to court.

Why? Reports say that people with dwarfism were hired to perform as part of the fun at his big birthday celebration. The event took place over the weekend in Garraf, a town near Barcelona. About 250 guests were there, including other footballers like Gavi and Alejandro Balde, as well as famous names like singer Bad Gyal, rapper Quevedo, and even F1 driver Charles Leclerc.

Phones weren’t allowed at the party, but a video later leaked showing Yamal dancing with artist Chimbala.

Now, ADEE is angry and has released a statement. They say Spanish law doesn’t allow shows that make fun of people with disabilities or use them in ways that make others laugh at them. They believe what happened at Yamal’s party breaks that law.

Carolina Puente, the group’s president, said it’s even worse when a famous person like Yamal is involved. She said it sends a bad message to young people — that it’s okay to treat others unfairly because they are different.

Yamal has not said anything yet about the issue, and his club, FC Barcelona, has also stayed quiet. The team just started preseason training this week.
