The only goal of the match came in the second half when Gonzalo Garcia scored a header, thanks to a perfect cross from their new player, Trent Alexander-Arnold.

In the first half, Madrid didn’t play very well. Juventus looked stronger at the start, with Randal Kolo Muani and Kenan Yildiz getting close to scoring.

Real Madrid had some chances too — Jude Bellingham’s shot was cleared off the line, and Federico Valverde tried a long shot that was saved.

But things changed after the break. Alexander-Arnold sent a beautiful pass into the box, and Garcia scored with a strong header. It was Alexander-Arnold’s first assist since joining Madrid from Liverpool.

After that goal, Madrid controlled the game. Young star Arda Guler nearly made it 2-0, but his volley was saved by Juventus goalkeeper Michele Di Gregorio.

Kylian Mbappé came off the bench late in the game, playing for the first time in this tournament after his injury. However, he didn’t have much impact as Madrid focused more on keeping their lead.

It wasn’t a big win, but Real Madrid did enough to move on to the next round.
