Darasimi, popularly known as Dara, the wife of comedian Ijoba Lande, has issued a public apology over allegations of infidelity.
Speaking in an interview on Talk to B podcast on Saturday, Dara pleaded for forgiveness from her husband, Nigerians, and those disappointed by her actions.
“Ijoba Lande, don’t be upset with me. I’m also begging everybody that I have disappointed and Nigerians all over the world. This is not who I am, but I did not pray to make such a mistake again. And I will never walk close to it again. I beg you in the name of God, I’m so sorry, I’m very sorry,” she said.
Her apology follows the intervention of actor Baba Tee and Mary Gold, who both urged Ijoba Lande to forgive her.
It would be recalled that Ijoba Lande recently accused Baba Tee and other colleagues of having affairs with his wife. Initially denying the claims, Baba Tee later admitted to a brief sexual encounter with Dara and publicly apologized.
Mary Gold, who was both Lande’s manager and Dara’s best friend, also admitted to facilitating the encounter by taking Dara to Baba Tee’s house. She has also sought forgiveness from Lande.
