Australia has cancelled the visa of Kanye West, a famous rapper from the United States. The government made this decision because Kanye released a song called “Heil Hitler”, which talks about a very bad person from history, Adolf Hitler.

Kanye, who now goes by the name Ye, released this song on May 8. This date is very important because it marks 80 years since World War II ended, when Hitler and his army were defeated.

Kanye has family in Australia, and his wife, Bianca Censori, is Australian. He has been visiting Australia for some time. But the Australian government decided to cancel his visa after he made the “Heil Hitler” song.

Tony Burke, Australia’s Home Affairs Minister, said that Kanye had made many offensive comments before. But after the song came out, officials checked and decided he should not be allowed to stay in Australia.

The visa Kanye had was a lower-level visa, not for concerts or big events. Officials said that promoting such hateful ideas like Nazism is not welcome in Australia.

When asked if it was okay to stop such a popular person from coming to Australia, Mr. Burke said, “We don’t want to bring hatred into our country.” He also said that Australian citizens have freedom of speech, but the government does not want to allow people to spread hate.
