Man United Launch €85M Bid to Land Leipzig Star Benjamin Sesko

Manchester United have officially made a big money offer to sign RB Leipzig’s striker, Benjamin Sesko. The total offer is worth €85 million — that’s €75 million upfront and another €10 million in bonuses.
The 22-year-old forward has been on United’s radar for a while, and the club believes he’s interested in joining them. Leipzig haven’t replied to the offer yet.
Earlier this summer, United already spoke with Sesko’s team and made him one of their top transfer targets. This latest move came shortly after Newcastle United increased their own offer for Sesko. Newcastle had tried with €75 million plus €5 million in add-ons, but Leipzig said no.
Sesko is one of the most wanted young strikers in Europe right now. Apart from United and Newcastle, other Premier League teams like Arsenal and Chelsea were also interested. Arsenal chose to go for Viktor Gyokeres instead, while Chelsea picked Liam Delap and Joao Pedro. Newcastle’s move depends on whether their current striker, Alexander Isak, leaves — Isak wants to join Liverpool, who already made a huge offer for him.
So far this summer, Manchester United have already added two attackers: Matheus Cunha and Bryan Mbeumo. They also thought about signing Ollie Watkins from Aston Villa, but his price was too high.
Benjamin Sesko had a great season with Leipzig last year, scoring 21 goals. Since joining them from RB Salzburg in 2023, he has scored 39 goals and made 8 assists in 87 games. His current contract with Leipzig runs until 2029.
