A gospel singer named Oluwatimileyin Ajayi has been sentenced to death. He was found guilty of killing Salome Adaidu, who was a member of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC).
The High Court in Lafia, Nasarawa State gave the death sentence on Thursday, June 26, 2025.
The judge, Justice Simon Aboki, said that Oluwatimileyin Ajayi was responsible for cutting up the NYSC member. He was found guilty of a crime called culpable homicide, which is against the law in Northern Nigeria.
