“Osimhen Deal ‘Beyond the Economy’ – Fenerbahce Icon Slams Galatasaray”

Former Fenerbahce star Umit Ozat has spoken out about Galatasaray’s huge signing of Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen, saying the deal is just too expensive for Turkish football.
While speaking on SkySpor’s YouTube channel, Ozat said that even though Osimhen is a great player, the money spent on him is just too much for a country like Turkey.
“You can’t say Osimhen is a bad player—he’s amazing,” Ozat said. “But the money spent is more than what our economy can handle.”
Galatasaray paid €75 million to bring Osimhen from Napoli, which is now the biggest transfer in Turkish football history.
On top of that, Osimhen will earn €15 million per year, with extra bonuses worth millions more.
Ozat made it clear that he would have said the same thing if Fenerbahce had signed Osimhen.
“I’m not jealous,” he said. “But spending that kind of money is risky. I just hope they can actually pay for it.”
Meanwhile, Osimhen has already started training with Galatasaray as they prepare for the new football season.
