Nigerian football star Victor Osimhen did not show up for Napoli’s first pre-season training on Monday. Reports say he gave the club a sick note to explain why he couldn’t attend.
This is happening while his possible move to Galatasaray, a top football club in Turkey, is still not complete.
Even though Galatasaray has agreed to pay €75 million (that’s about ₦130 billion) to sign Osimhen, the deal has been delayed. The two clubs are still arguing about how the money should be paid.
Napoli wants €55 million right away and the remaining €20 million paid later in safe and guaranteed steps. But Galatasaray is only offering €40 million now and the rest in parts.
So far, the transfer is not official, and Osimhen is still a Napoli player.
