Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) are through to the semi-finals of the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup after beating Bayern Munich 2-0 in a tense match on Sunday night.

The exciting game was played at the Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta, and despite PSG finishing with just nine players, they still managed to beat the German giants.

The first half ended 0-0, but things turned scary when Bayern’s Jamal Musiala got badly injured. He collided with PSG goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma while chasing a loose ball and landed badly on his ankle. Donnarumma looked very shaken and couldn’t even watch as Musiala was treated on the pitch.

In the second half, PSG came out stronger. Desire Doue gave them the lead in the 78th minute with a cool low shot. Then, in added time, Ousmane Dembele scored again to seal the win, even as Bayern pushed hard for a comeback.

PSG’s victory didn’t come easy. Defender Willian Pacho was shown a red card for a dangerous tackle on Leon Goretzka. Later in stoppage time, Lucas Hernandez was also sent off for another rough challenge.

Despite being down to nine men, PSG held their ground until the final whistle.

The match was also emotional for Bayern fans, as veteran player Thomas Müller came on for his final appearance for the club.

PSG will now face either Real Madrid or Borussia Dortmund in the semi-finals.
