Manchester United have won the 2025 Premier League Summer Series, even though they played a 2-2 draw with Everton in Atlanta.
United played well in attack but had problems in defense again, which made things difficult for their coach, Ruben Amorim.
Bruno Fernandes scored the first goal for United with a penalty that many people thought was a wrong decision. Later, Mason Mount gave United the lead again with a beautiful curling shot.
Everton took advantage of United’s mistakes. Iliman Ndiaye scored after a bad pass by United’s Manuel Ugarte. Then a strange own goal happened when Amad Diallo tried to clear the ball, but it hit Ayden Heaven and went into the net.
New United players Bryan Mbeumo and Matheus Cunha played well in attack. Cunha almost scored twice. But United’s defense and midfield had some problems, and Coach Amorim didn’t look happy.
Still, the draw was enough for Manchester United to become the champions of the 2025 Premier League Summer Series.
