Super Eagles Soar as Arokodare Secures 1-0 Win Over Rwanda

Nigeria’s Super Eagles got an important 1-0 win over Rwanda’s Amavubi in their 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifying game on Saturday.
The hero of the day was Tolu Arokodare, who came in as a substitute and scored the only goal of the match in the 50th minute. His strike gave Nigeria all three points and kept their World Cup dream alive.
Before Arokodare’s goal, star striker Victor Osimhen started the game but had to leave after picking up an injury.
With this victory, Nigeria now has 10 points from seven games, sitting just behind South Africa (16 points) and Benin Republic (11 points) in Group C. Rwanda stays on 8 points.
The Super Eagles will play their next match against South Africa’s Bafana Bafana on Tuesday, away from home.
