Six Super Eagles players have come together to show love and support to the Super Falcons after their big win at the 2024 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON).

They gave the Super Falcons a total of ₦24 million to say “well done” for winning the tournament.

The players who donated are:

William Troost-Ekong (team captain)

Ola Aina

Ademola Lookman

Alex Iwobi

Leon Balogun

Joe Aribo

The Super Falcons made Nigerians proud by beating Morocco in the final. Even though they were losing by two goals, they came back strong and won the match. This made it their 10th WAFCON title, more than any other team in Africa!

Their coach, Justine Madugu, led the team to victory, and they came back to Nigeria on Monday to a warm welcome and plenty of praise.

Apart from the Super Eagles players’ donation, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the Nigerian Governors’ Forum also gave the team cash rewards to celebrate their amazing achievement.
