Fluminense defender Thiago Silva has said he wants Chelsea to win the FIFA Club World Cup after they defeated his team in the semi-final.
Chelsea beat Fluminense 2-0 on Tuesday in the United States. Joao Pedro scored both goals to send the Blues into the final.
Silva, who is 39 years old, played for Fluminense in the game. After the match, he spoke to Globo and shared his support for Chelsea, even though he used to play for them.
“I hope Chelsea do well in the final,” Silva said. “If they play Paris Saint-Germain, my heart will be divided because I also played for them. But if it’s Real Madrid, I’m fully supporting Chelsea.”
Chelsea will face either Real Madrid or PSG in the final this weekend.
