Popular media personality, Toke Makinwa, has cleared the air about how people see her. Some people think she doesn’t like men or always speaks badly about them. But Toke says that’s not true at all. She says she actually loves love and is a hopeless romantic.
Toke talked about this on her podcast. She said people have misunderstood her for years. They think she’s always bashing men, but that’s far from who she really is.
She also shared a very special moment in her life. Toke said she had prayed to God that she wanted to become a mum before she turned 40. Her birthday is in November, and she turned 40 last year.
Guess what? Just a few weeks after her birthday, in December, she got pregnant!
She said, “People thought I hated men, but that’s not true. I’ve always been someone who loves deeply. What many people didn’t know was that I was going through a hard time. I was even depressed. That’s why I had that thanksgiving service. I’ve never talked about it until now.”
Toke thanked God for answering her prayer and said His timing is always perfect.
