Zenith Bank has given a huge ₦200 million gift to Nigeria’s women’s basketball team, D’Tigress, to say “thank you” for making the country proud.
The bank’s big boss, Dame Adaora Umeoji, gave the money to the team during a special event in Abuja.
Each player will get ₦10 million, while the rest of the money will be shared among the coaches and support team.
This surprise came not long after President Bola Tinubu also rewarded the team. He gave $100,000 (over ₦150 million) to each player and $50,000 to each coach and team staff. That’s not all—they also got free flats at the new Renewed Hope Estate and a national honor called Officer of the Order of the Niger (OON).
D’Tigress have truly made Nigeria proud, and everyone is showing them love and appreciation!
