Breaking: Naira Marley, Sam Larry Acquitted in Mohbad’s Death Trial

A court in Lagos has said that the government does not have to take Naira Marley and Sam Larry to court over the death of the late singer Mohbad.
This decision came after Mohbad’s father, Joseph Aloba, asked the court to make Naira Marley and Sam Larry face charges. But the court said the Lagos State Attorney General has the full power to decide who to charge or not. The judge said no one can change or question this decision.
The family’s lawyer, Wahab Shittu, said they are sad about the decision but will take the case to a higher court. He said they just want justice for Mohbad and will keep trying.
Earlier, another court also said Naira Marley, Sam Larry, and Primeboy were not guilty in the case. Mohbad’s old manager was cleared too.
However, two other people will still face court. They are Feyisayo Ogedengbe, a nurse who treated Mohbad, and Ayobami Sadiq, a friend of Mohbad. They are accused of being careless and will have a trial in a smaller court.
Mohbad died on September 12, 2023. His death made many people upset. Before he died, Mohbad said he was scared and had been hurt by some people connected to his old music label.
After his death, videos and messages on social media said Naira Marley and Sam Larry scared and threatened Mohbad. Police arrested them and some others to investigate.
The court’s decision has made some people unhappy because they think not everyone is being treated fairly. While the nurse and friend will go to court, Naira Marley and Sam Larry are not charged, which some people say is unfair.
Many fans and groups are asking for a full and honest investigation into how Mohbad died.
