“Ballon d’Or Bound? Cole Palmer Tipped for Glory”

Former Chelsea coach Roberto Di Matteo has said that Cole Palmer could one day win the famous Ballon d’Or award, which is given to the best football player in the world.
Di Matteo, who helped Chelsea win the Champions League in 2012, compared Palmer to Chelsea legend Eden Hazard. He said both players are smart, skillful, and know how to score and create goals.
> “Palmer is very clever on the pitch. He always finds space and makes it hard for defenders,” Di Matteo told Online Casino Games.
“He reminds me of Hazard — he can dribble, score, and assist just like him.”
Palmer has been one of Chelsea’s best players since he joined from Manchester City in 2023. He has scored 37 goals in 71 Premier League games for the Blues.
Most recently, Palmer scored two goals in the Club World Cup final, helping Chelsea beat Paris Saint-Germain and win their second trophy of the season.
Di Matteo believes Palmer has everything it takes to win the Ballon d’Or someday, but he also said the young star needs to win big titles like the Champions League, Premier League, and shine for England in international matches.
> “If Palmer keeps playing this well, he can win the Ballon d’Or in the future,” Di Matteo added.
“When he’s playing well, Chelsea plays well.”
Palmer will soon join Chelsea’s pre-season training in August. The team will play friendly matches against Bayer Leverkusen and AC Milan before the new season starts.
Chelsea’s first Premier League game of the 2025–26 season will be against Crystal Palace on August 17.
