Afrobeats superstar, Davido, might have just dropped a big hint that his uncle, Governor Ademola Adeleke of Osun State, is planning to leave the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and join the All Progressives Congress (APC).

This gist comes after Davido and Governor Adeleke recently visited President Bola Tinubu at his house in Lagos. Since that visit, many people have been talking about a possible switch from PDP (whose symbol is an umbrella) to APC (whose symbol is a broom).

Davido added more fire to the rumors with his new song titled “From Umbrella to Broom.” In the track, he talks about how Osun State needs change, better leadership, and improved electricity. He believes a new political direction might bring good things to the people.

In the song, Davido sings in Yoruba, saying:
“New broom go sweep better… From umbrella to the broom… Why are we suffering? The new broom will clean things up better.”

He also complained about constant power failure and how many young people are tired of the system and want to leave Nigeria. He suggests that the new broom (APC) might bring progress.

So, is Governor Adeleke really planning to join APC? Only time will tell. But one thing is sure — Davido has everyone talking!
