Leão Dedicates Goal to Late Jota as Milan Sink Liverpool 4-2

AC Milan star Rafael Leão scored a beautiful goal and gave an emotional tribute to his late Portugal teammate, Diogo Jota, in a 4-2 win against Liverpool during a pre-season match.
Leão scored the first goal early in the game after receiving a smart pass from Christian Pulisic during a fast counterattack. Even though Liverpool defender Virgil van Dijk tried to stop him, Leão fired a strong shot that went past goalkeeper Alisson.
After scoring, Leão held up a hand sign showing the number “20” — a touching way to remember Jota, who sadly passed away not long ago. Jota wore the number 20 shirt when playing for Portugal.
The match took place in Asia as part of both teams’ pre-season tour. Liverpool made the news for leaving out two key players — Luis Díaz and Darwin Núñez — from the squad.
Reports say Díaz is wanted by Bayern Munich, and Núñez is being watched by Napoli and some Saudi clubs.
Liverpool will try to get back to winning when they face Yokohama F. Marinos in the J League World Challenge final on July 30.
