Lady Gets Backlash for Asking About Diogo Jota’s Properties After His Death
A Nigerian lady on Instagram has caused a lot of reactions online after she asked a question about the late Liverpool footballer, Diogo Jota’s properties.
As many already know, Diogo Jota and his brother, André Jota, sadly died in a car accident in Spain on July 3, 2025.
The Instagram user, who goes by the name Makeup Affairs, asked if Jota’s wife, Rute Cardoso, would inherit his properties since they got married just 11 days before his death.
She wrote:
“Out of curiosity, will the wife get his properties because it’s just 11 days after wedding? So will the wife have access to all his properties and assets? Please don’t insult me, na question I ask.”
This question didn’t sit well with many people online, and she started getting backlash for it.
To remind you, Diogo Jota and Rute got married on June 22, 2025, in Portugal. They had been together for about 12 years, since their high school days in Porto.
