Rashford Feeling the Heat in Flick’s Gruelling Barcelona Pre-Season

Marcus Rashford says he is finding life at Barcelona tough but exciting after joining the Spanish club on loan from Manchester United.

The 26-year-old striker lost his starting spot at United last season and moved to the La Liga champions this summer. Now, he is getting used to the training style of Barcelona’s new coach, Hansi Flick.

Rashford described Flick’s training as “complex” and “relentless”, especially during their recent tour of Asia. He said the mix of fast ball work and hot weather leaves him feeling very tired after every session.

Even though it’s hard, Rashford says training with top players like Pedri has been “refreshing.” He also made it clear that this season, he cares more about winning trophies with the team than about his own personal stats.

However, fans may have to wait to see Rashford play his first match. Barcelona president Joan Laporta revealed that the club is still working to register him for the new season because of squad rules.

Barcelona’s first game is against Mallorca on August 16, but Rashford might only be able to play later in the month if the registration is sorted out before the deadline at the end of August.
