A man who claims to be a former Abuja neighbor of the activist, Verydarkman, shares old photos of him as he reveals his past behavior.
Victor Sunday, a the Nigerian man, revealed that he used to be neighbors with VeryDarkMan in Abuja several years ago.
In a Facebook post, he had called for the release of the outspoken activist following his arrest by the EFCC.
He shared old photos of himself with VeryDarkMan, noting that the social critic had always been a defender of the oppressed.
Victor recalled how VeryDarkMan often stood up for those being bullied and even mentioned the nickname he was known by at the time.

“I & VDM were neighbours those days in Abuja & the guy has always been a defender. He is someone that fights for you when you are being bullied. WE KNOW HIM AS BLAQ THOUGH SOCIAL CALL HIM VDM.”
